NFL Open Thread, Divisional Sunday edition

When my team is out of the playoffs, I root for the underdogs. Now there’s only one sixth seed left. I guess that’s my surrogate team, now.

The Vikings looked awful. Congrats to the 49ers for moving on. I’m pulling for Emmanuel Sanders to get another ring.

Texans at Chiefs - If it’s the playoffs and the Chiefs are playing at Arrowhead... bet against them. The Chiefs need to prove they can win at home consistently in the playoffs and they haven’t done that yet. I don’t think this will be the year they will, either.

Seahawks at Packers - I know Russell Wilson is having an MVP-level year, but my gut tells me it won’t be enough today. Who knows? I’ve been wrong before. If the Packers come out flat like the Ravens did and the Seahawks can take the lead early, they could do it.

It’s possible that both the AFC and NFC Championship games could be between division rivals.  That’s never happened since the 2002 realignment.  Cool!
