Today was the annual Mercedes-Benz Club gathering for this region. I hit the road this morning and took the old dear up to the Nile Shrine golf course to see some old friends and some unusual cars. I think around 70 cars were in attendance, not bad.
The trip started off with drama - cruising north on 405 around 85th in Kirkland around 9am, an E36 M3 sedan passed me, not noteworthy as I was only going around 60 in the right lane, it was maybe going 70, I noticed it as it is an unusual car. About a minute later I see a big dust cloud ahead, and then everyone slams on their brakes. My car stopped fine, and in the clearing, the M3 had smashed into the central divider, and was demolished. There was a large Dodge 4x4 near it, not sure if they tangled, or if it was someone stopped to help. Otherwise, the car was fine and handled highway speeds without complaint.
On to the pics (in no particular order):
