I am running a project that has been delayed awhile. It’s in a bit of a holding pattern. Unbeknownst to me, a new person was assigned to it. They sit 50 feet away on the opposite side of the building. On the same freaking floor.
So instead of asking me, the project manager, and the person responsible for dictating the schedule to them, they involve 15 different people to get an update. Not hey, wants the status on the project. It’s hey lets ask so and so if they know who is running this, they don’t but they know some one who might know.......on and on it goes.
They know I’m the PM, they sent me the long convoluted email chain with the 15 different people. Why they couldn’t send me an email or walk 50 feet blows my mind. Now I look like an idiot because they are dumb and asked the wrong people the wrong question.
I’m drinking the good whiskey tonight.
