Tomorrow we tear down my single stall 21 x 13' garage. The replacement will be a 3.5 stall, 21 x 40' (city won’t let me go deeper than 21', setback limit).
A little reflection as I cleared it out today. My house was built by a WWII veteran in 1954, the garage has mint green walls and pegboard, he lived in the house until about 1997 or so. I wish I had some period pics I am picturing a Chevy man, maybe Pontiac or Olds.

8' wide doors, 9' is pretty much the standard now, as you can see, the narrow door caused a little concern for the prior owners.
