I bought this M43-C1 in 2015 or 2016, my dad bought one at the same time. His died two years ago. Just wouldn’t power on at all. It always had freezing issues and mine didn’t, so I assumed I was in the clear. Nope. Yesterday it started flashing constantly, whatever was on the screen. Doesn’t matter what input, it’s just always flashing. I called Vizio, and it’s a known issue. I’ve looked around online and if you look up Vizio flickering screen, it’s a very common problem. They tell you to power cycle it, and factory reset it. If that doesn’t work, and if it’s under warranty, they send you a refurb. Mine is out of warranty, so I’m SOL. 4 or 5 years is an unacceptably short life for a freaking TV. I was not planning on buying a TV for years. I don’t know what I’m replacing this with, but it sure as shit won’t be a Vizio.
