I’m such a nerd. I bought this USB dongle for a completely different purpose, not meaning to get into SDR (software defined radio) just yet. It didn’t strike me as to what I had until I found that I was installing some software on another computer, not the one where the hardware was installed. In the process I killed the connection to my wireless keyboard, but that was an easy fix. Now I have a fully functional RTL-SDR setup on my desktop computer. The antenna that came with the receiver sucks (the only way to get a decent signal is to hold it and make myself the antenna), so I’ll have to mess around with that.
I’ve got enough to do these days and I’ve just created another time suck...
