I found what I was looking for at a reasonable price and then spent the next couple of days, essentially my weekend, communicating with the seller to complete the sale. The phone I found had some cracks and cosmetic damage but was apparently fully functional which is just fine for my needs. That was just one device. I won’t go into the ordeal of trying to acquire the Lenovo tablet I also found. I’m going to guess that a lot of the stuff I find for sale is of questionable ownership status and that I probably don’t want to be dealing with these people.
