What happened to the Fry’s Electronics ads I used to remember running several times a week at the back of major sections of the main newspapers? I know print journalism is almost dead, but I still expected to see at least one ad. Friday morning, when there would usually be the big multi-pager, there’s nothing.
I did stop in at the Burbank location a couple of days ago to get a power supply for a friend’s computer and some Blu-ray media (and a candy bar I haven’t seen in ages):

The place was pretty much as I remember it, but it was a bit quieter than I recall. Was it just because it was Wednesday afternoon, or because massive retailers are a dying breed in the age of Amazon?
