One more piece. There’s nothing really wrong with the HP SSD I’m currently using, but the Sammy’s seem to be quite a bit quicker. I guess I’m starting to fall down that benchmarking rabbit hole. I had a large credit at Newegg so I figured, why not?
WhenI checked my email this morning I found that they put the same drive on sale, a day after I bought it. But like I recently learned with Costco, sometimes, if you ask, you can get the difference refunded to you. That’s normal procedure at Costco, and they had no problem giving me money back. After waiting through a queue of 72 people I got Newegg to give me the money back on this drive. Sometimes all you need to do is ask, and if your request is reasonable you might just get what you want.
