I have four of these clips in my Mazda5, for the second and third row seatbelts. I always thought that they were installed backwards since the belt would just slideΒ right out instead of staying put; if they were the other way around, the tension on the belt would keep them from popping out, or so I thought. Yesterday I finally realized that you’re supposed to put the metal part of the seatbelt in that closed portion of the clip, with the webbed belt material in the open portion behind. I’m an idiot...
