One Way to get an Anti Fog Visor. (Not the one pictured)

So I’ve been having a lot of visor fog problems. I have sinus issues so breathing just out of my nose gets a bit uncomfortable, which is bad news when it’s 35 degrees outside and you’re in a motorcycle helmet.

I looked into many anti fog gadgets, and solutions. From rub on treatments, to films, to a wacky mouth piece that Directs your breath down out of the helmet. I like to talk to myself so that’s a no go.

Then there’s Pinlocks which my helmet is set up for. It’s an insert that clips into a couple pegs on your visor, creating a dual pane visor like a snowmobile helmet. I did buy one of these, and a yellow visor for rainy days.

But I also wanted to get a new clear visor because mine is already quite abit scratched up. Then I remembered something my MSF instructor said about motorcycle helmets. That they are Usually the same shell. Just a different visor, and a more insulation. A 5 second search on EBay and I found the snowmobile visor for my helmet. it cost about as much as the pinlock insert did.

Once I get them both I’ll try them out and see whether the pinlock works as well as the snowmobile helmet. It does seem like it’ll inhibitor you field of vision a bit less.
