I have a rule for evaluating a band’s greatness. I call it “The Clash rule.”

According to this rule, a band if great if their live recordings of their songs are 1) different from the studio recording. 2) As good, if not better, than the studio recording.

How cute is it that the coolest member of The Clash was so nervous about singing that he doesn’t play bass on his own song?
