It’s been a while, hasn’t it? What’s shakin’? It’s been almost a year since I’ve dropped by to say hello thanks to a job that pretty much consumed my life.
Soooooooo... I ditched the job and am getting ready to start a new one next week! Better pay, better benefits, hopefully a lot less work and stress. Best part? I’ll be working with several former (now current again) colleagues whom I got to catch up with earlier this week. After working solo in an under-supported, under-resourced position for so long, I had forgotten how nice it is to be appreciated and part of a positive, collaborative team. To put things in perspective, my (now former) boss is replacing me with FIVE people! That’s how much ish I had on my shoulders.
In car news: I paid off my car! Woot! I drive Jelly Bean a LOT, though, and am on track to hit 100,000 miles before the end of the year. That timeline might be moved up a bit considering I’ll be driving a fair bit more for the new gig.
