My car came with a painted CF hood. I may swap on a factory hood at some point, but I can’t lie, I’ve been kinda enjoying living out my boy racer dreams for a while first.

i've always thought it was a bit dumb to have the carbon weave covered, so I stripped the paint and clear coated the hood over the last couple weeks. Still needs a good polish, and there are definitely some cracks that the PO was hiding with the paint job, but I’m pretty happy with how it looks. I’ll probably paint on a Honda logo to cover the 8x6 section with a bunch of cracks where it looks like the engine produced enough heat to crack the gel coat. Otherwise, if you’ve got carbon fiber, why not display it?
