That’s all it takes for me to remove the oil pan now. The first time last year took place over a few days. The blue seal you see towards the rear of the block in the above picture got pinched by the oil pan during my repair last winter. It was only made apparent because the bellhousing is off.
Better safe than sorry, no matter how small the damage is.
