Here's a crazy good (or stupid bad) idea

Take the Impala. It’s spacious comfortable decent interior in the top trims. Add the 5.3 V8 355 horsepower (250 kW) and 383 lb.-ft. of torque (519 Nm). Add torque vetoring AWD that is used in Buicks. Darken out the chrome. Nice limited production sleeper for $40,000 that at most 16 people in the total US would buy and it will end up being an utter failure. The last hurrah for Chevy sedans; But I like the idea of a 2019 v8 Impala SS.
