So, you saw the post on the FP, and one on Oppo, and now great journalism has turned up the owner of the Jeep in the surf at Myrtle Beach and why it was there. Stupid cousin who drives a motorcycle was driving it (because it was raining and he didn’t have a car), didn’t notice a runoff spot, and buried it. Then he didn’t tell the owner and tried to get help, but apparently failed. I’d be very irritated to have the police tell me about it instead of my cousin.
“He avoided me for a good hour or two because he didn’t know what to say and then police actually came to the house. And they said, ‘Hey we found your Jeep on the beach.’ Then I called him and spoke to him and he told me exactly what happened,” the Jeep’s owner said.
