Wandering thoughts

Delivered the latest foster dog to her new owner yesterday afternoon. We feel relieved. She was a sweetheart but scared of the world and prone to peeing at the slightest provocation. We even had to take care of her during heat until she could be spayed. We still considered failing, and keeping her.

So that was more than 2 months of spending a lot of time on the foster. Now we can go camping again, but it has cooled off a bit much for my wife. One year ago we bought the Outback and immediately went camping . . . And it was too cold for her preference. And also for our forever dog’s preference.

Glad to have had the Outback for a year, it has done well, including having room for the foster dogs.

I was thrashing the GTI around a traffic circle and got understeer on Saturday night despite my aftermarket sway bar . . . But the tires were still cold and I was accelerating. Still, someday I’ll likely replace it with a rear wheel drive car, maybe the next BRZ. I definitely want to have more of a gap between car purchases, so I’ll wait.

[Edit:] Oh, plus I’ve changed my bookmarks for Jalopnik to point at The Drive instead. Really should have done that a long time ago, unfortunately.
