So checking online on Cargurus, you will find that nationwide there are 23 listed for sale. I found that to be interesting, so I emailed 10 of those 23 dealers. Turns out none of them are actually for sale. They are presold orders. So why list them?
I know back when I was in the car biz, we would do that just in case the customer backed out of the deal. But unless something has changed, especially with a car like that for the kind of money they are asking, they shouldn’t be listed.Worse still, dealers can still change the price or add on a markup when the vehicle finally arrives. I was also told I could be placed on a list when they get another allocation. Which really means they can put me on an email/call list to bug the hell out of me for vehicles I dont want.
