I’m not a car show guy. I pay for MotorTrend on Demand so I can catch Dirt Every Day, but that’s about it, other than an occasional dive into some Jeep channels on YouTube.
I absolutely love (most of) Car Masters, the new show on Netflix, covering Gotham Garage. I’m sure some of the drama is faked, but the team is compelling, and I just had to pause episode 4 because it got a little too real. If you’ve seen it, you probably know what I mean.
It’s not as technical as I’d like, but it’s supposed to be approachable by everyone, not just gearheads, so I understand the motivation.
Anyway, it’s possible that my apathy towards car shows means that they’re all better than this one and I’m just a sucker for Caveman and Constance, but if you haven’t checked it out, I recommend it.
