So I guess it's now OK for Kinja users to make death threats? How do we get these removed?

From the latest Splinter article about Trump/The Squad. Kinja has a feature that lets you flag posts for harassment, hate speech, or spam.

One commenter made a threatening post against a group of people (Trump supporters). They didn’t specify whether their threats of violence would take the form of vandalism, bodily harm, or death, but all three are illegal, nor are such threats protected under the 1st Amendment.

I agree Trump is a jackass, but Jesus fucking christ, you do not have the constitutional right to threaten violence against a group of people with whom you disagree politically. It would be one thing if it was just this one psycho, but 87 people endorsed his/her message. Hopefully the Splinter moderators take action here and remove the post.

In the meantime, I presume I’m supposed to flag it for “hate speech” although this person’s post goes well beyond the definition of hate speech (abusive or threatening speech or writing that expresses prejudice against a particular group, especially on the basis of race, religion, or sexual orientation).

Maybe instead of making death threats against people you disagree with, you could try something really crazy, like voting.
