Sharkwerks released this render yesterday, asking their subscribers if Porsche should remake the 914 as an EV. Honestly, I think that’s the only way the 914 and 718 could coexist. There’s just no market for two mid-engine sports cars unless one has a completely different drivetrain.
Speaking of different drivetrains, why are there no FR sports cars in Porsche’s lineup? The 718 could easily coexist alongside a 2+2 front-engine sports car…perhaps a modern 944?!? And there’s absolutely no excuse for not having a modern 928 to challenge the 8-series, AMG GT, Portofino, DB11, etc.
