It’s been a long morning, but Jolene the Sunbird now has four new tires.
Turns out, someone installed locking lug nuts on the car at some point. And, I don’t have the key...nor is the key anywhere to be found in the car. Thankfully, my favorite tire shop was able to remove the stubborn lug nuts, install new tires, and put normal lug nuts back on.
Who puts locking lug nuts on a 29-year-old J-Body with 14-inch wheels? Not to mention one that lives in rural western Kentucky.
Oh well. All’s well that ends well, I guess. My wallet is substantially lighter, but at least the car will likely not need new tires again for many, many years.
