Adjusted the steering box yesterday, test drive today showed it needed more adjustment (aka I made it worse). Adjusted it some more, and went for a drive. It’s better now, but the car started lugging along like it was out of fuel and died mid-test-drive.
I looked at the carb (horray sight glass on the bowls) and there was no fuel visible in it, but the accelerator pump was able to dribble some. I got back in the car, it started right up, I checked again and there was now fuel in the carb, so I drove home. It ran fine.
Time to order a fuel pump. I’ve already got a new filter on the shelf.
