Oppo inform me: high mileage Abarth

What are your thoughts on buying a 120k mile Fiat 500 Abarth from a friend who has had it for the last 40k miles and is selling due to financial difficulties? Wastegate actuator has been replaced. Car has been maintained. Minor aesthetic difficulties, rear seat removed (but still present) and a catless downpipe means a dealership/carmax won’t touch it with a 12 foot pole and he needs it sold by tomorrow to buy a cheap truck for his upcoming life changes.

Price is irrelevant. It’s a phenomenal deal and I can afford it, I just can’t afford it to be a $700-a-month-in-parts pain in my ass.

A friend and fellow youtuber has already bought it from the seller and is going to keep it a couple of months before offering it to me for what he paid for it. That’ll give me a while to figure out if it’s a total crapcan or not and decide if I like the “farting loudly on a barstool” driving experience. Would certainly be nice to have a car made in the last 10 years.

This would be replacing the LS400.
