I spotted one in a workshop while running, stopped for a chat with an older guy who worked at the shop. Apparently it belongs to Andrew Bogut, the basketballer? I dunno but he’s got a Wikipedia page, and apparently he owns an HRT 427 as well - the other HSV super-coupe.
No photo since it seemed rude. But here’s one from the internet. Odds are actually pretty good that it is the one I saw, there must be less than 50 red ones in existence.
The Coupe4 is exceptionally rare (140-ish built) and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one. It’s also not so different in appearance from the regular GTO Coupe, takes a keen eye to spot one. For what it’s worth, I like them, for their unique and subtle bodywork and their halo status as a top-performing AWD, special version of Holden’s special coupe.
I swear picking up running is the best decision I’ve ever made. So much stuff I see while I’m out, and it’s a car spotter’s dream.
