This one has been a lifeline.

When I first heard it, I was a kid too young to get anything. When I heard it again after living in Detroit with a huge ambition in my heart, it was a javelin. Like the grit of the midwestern summer in the late 60s-early 70s hit like trying to be everything your parents and grandparents had ever hoped for, and you just wanted to live up to that promise of the next generation, looking up at the stars, where people were going for the first time.
