The Suzuki Jimny rebadged as the Mazda AZ-Offroad was available in Japan from at least 1998-2013. I just sent an email to Mazda USA asking if the new 2019 model will be available in the US in 2019 or 2020. Lets bombard them with requests. The U.S. loves its little Jeeps, so if we convince them we are doing them and us a favor.
I think the 1.5 Skyactiv-G would work quite well in the Jimny to meet US EPA emissions.
