This is a heavy mechanic’s shirt with iron on labels. It’s actually worn and the most modest shirt in my racing collection. This is one of my favorites. It’s a working class shirt from a team where money does not grow on trees.

Dayle Coyne racing is an “over achiever” Indycar team. If you live around Chicago, you’ll probably recognize their shop off of I-55.

Started when Dale drove Indycars in 1984, Coyne racing has been a contender many times, hitting it’s stride with Justin Wilson at the wheel. Their 2020 drivers are Santino Ferucci and Alex Palou.

Justin Wilson was in Indycar racing because of his sacrifice and determination, certainly not because of his not money. He was a great fit for Dale Coyne racing. Justin was driving for Coyne when he met is untimely end a Pocono in 2015.

I’ll leave this picture I took of Justin with his Coyne crewmates at Mid Ohio in 2011.
