Utilitarian People's Car Fun Fact of the Day!

Did you know that Alfa Romeo produced the Renault 4 under license in Milan for 2 years in 1962-1964? Almost 42,000 were built there! Despite carrying a Renault badge on the front on later models and some models having an Alfa Romeo badge on the hood, all of the cars’ ID plaques, indeed, listed it as a ‘Alfa Romeo R4L’!

Most Alfa R4Ls also used FIAT 500 Giardiniera (the estate version) taillights rather than the original Renault units! The more you know! :D
