What a clear day for this hike

You know how they call a paint job about a “ten footer” to say that it looks alright as long as you don’t get too close. Well, the Miata has more like a “1000 footer” on it. So from the distance in this photo it looks nice lol. Anyways, this Friday I went on a nice short hike (3 mile each way, 1800 foot gain) in Malibu and man was it a clear day! You could see Palos Verdes, Catalina Island, San Nicolas Island, and further North in the Channel Islands as well. Beautiful day for a hike as well, a little hot for November but I also got a late start by getting to the trailhead around 1300. Here is my photo dump, enjoy!

And this day I also put on the stock Miata wheels that I picked up last weekend since I finally replaced the one really bad tire with one of my leftover alright tires that I had. This means mismatched tires but its fine for daily driving in the short term. They ride acceptably and are still summer tires so I am happy. I didnt die on a canyon run so I will use these for a couple of months.

I also have a nice wheel/tire pile in my garage. I plan on putting a bike lock on them at least so that they cant just walk away easily.
