How goes it? My car is broken and work sucks, but music feeds the soul. This is The Main Squeeze nailing Led Zeppelin’s No Quarter. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a better cover (including other ones by these guys like War Pigs and Have A Cigar), it captures the haunting nature of the original without copying it directly. I’ve listened to it back to back with the original a couple of times now and I dare say that outside the context of Houses of the Holy and the weight of history behind the original, this is better musically. Great band and magnificent guitar solo, really well phrased. Solo starts around 5 minutes in, enjoy:
