Not gonna admit to anything, but its always a good idea to verify button function when replacing the cracked center console of your C5 Corvette.
If you just assume that the gas door button that came with your uncracked replacement is the same because it looks, feels, and plugs in the exactly the same way, you could hypothetically have to take it all back apart after you're done...
