Ha Ha, No

Went and looked at an Outback that we were interested in, the price was high and we wanted to negotiate on it. The sale sguy said he wouldn’t be able to talk to the finance guy unless we proved we were interested in buying the car by signing a Vehicle Purchase Agreement showing the windows sticker price. I promptly told him where he could stick his purchase agreement and that was the end of things.

Has anyone seen this tactic before? It’s been 6 years since we last bought a car and I was honestly dumbfounded that anyone would try this approach. We still want an Outback, but we sure won’t be going through our local Subaru dealer.
