This past summer I got rid of my dual 24" AOC monitors (see post bellow from when I got them) since I didn’t think I would have space for them in my new apartment. I still don’t have space for them, but I did find that I can’t get any real work done on a 15" laptop screen.
Found this 27" 4k Dell monitor on Nextdoor last night for $100. Not bad considering it sells new on Amazon for $500. Seller included 2 mini DP to DP and a USB C to DP cable, so I’m happy with the deal. 4k is nice to have, but wasn’t something I necessarily needed. 27" screen is more useable than the 24" of the old AOCs and it takes up less desk space!
I sold the two AOCs for $130, after spending $100 on them 3 years ago, so I’m still up $30.
I’ve preordered the new Oculus Quest 2 with the intention of using it with Unreal Engine for furniture design visualization purposes. Going through the Unreal Tutorials these last few weeks on the laptop screen have been painful, excited to be more productive with this new monitor.
