Examining the old connector, I found the bad wire. The orange wire was “crunchy” and came apart with a slight tug from my hand.

I was a bit disappointed at first that Suzuki does not appear to sell coil connectors with pigtails, but an Amazon search revealed that these bikes use the same coil connectors as some Fords, Mazdas, MGs, and...Panoz?

And indeed, they fit snugly. The scooter now runs great and as a test I intentionally spent a tank of fuel taking it down rough roads and situations that would have triggered the misfire before. All good!

Also nice is that I have spare connectors for when the left side inevitably follows suit.
