Sometimes when I’m at my regular neighborhood bar late at night nobody changes the channel on the TVs and the Mecum auto auction comes on. Watching classic cars being auctioned one night led me to a realization: the retro styling that needs to come back is tailfins. Really big tailfins.
With our modern understanding of aerodynamics we could even make the tailfins functional instead of purely cosmetic. Or they could be motorized to move with the turn signal. In addition to a flashing light, you get a waving fin. Maybe for a brake stomp both sides flap around wildly.
