Cat Cafe Madison is a place where you can go pet cats and drink coffee, for a nominal fee. It’s on Monroe Street here in Madison, which is being torn up and redone. It really needs to be repaved, but unfortunately when the city of Madison does one of these road projects, not every small business survives.
The cats at the Cat Cafe are foster cats, and the cafe is all about adopting out the cats and getting new ones in so they can be adopted too. Apparently the Monroe Street construction is really hitting their business. Their lease is coming up for renewal and they have a gofundme to try and stay open.
