Estado de Mexico is, simply, a hell-hole where nothing good happens (basically, Mexico’s Florida) and today we got proof of that when a drunk driver in a Nissan Tsuru ran over a police officer and drove with the injured officer hanging from the bonnet.

The officer was trying to impose a traffic fine. Typically in rural areas in Mexico, when you break a traffic law your license plate is taken away and you have a limited amount of time to go and pay the fine owed. Later on the driver was caught and awaits trial for attempted murder and driving under the influence. The officer broke his arm.
