Interjet continues being a fucking mess.

This week continued to be a PR disaster for the Mexican airline Interjet as it’s CEO and owner, Miguel Aleman Magnani, had his assets freezed by Federal regulators. For a moment it was thought that Interjet’s assets were also freezed and people started going crazy about possible cancelled flights and the such.

The reason? Aleman Magnani bought a radio station last year and forgot to pay 32 million dollars, and the original owners of the radio station, Televisa, sued him for not paying up. It’s worth noting that the Aleman family has a net worth in excess of two billion dollars, and letting this tab unpaid would be like going to a fancy restaurant, staying after hours, and then tiping 5%

In other news, Aeromexico’s constant threats to Emirates landed in nothing, and the Emirati corporation will begin flying the second A380 to Mexico City on their Dubai-Barcelona-Mexico City route this december.
