I was in and out of a local tuning shop recently to get my exhaust done, the result of which I posted up here:
I am in Vancouver, BC, where we have more BMW dealers than the combination Chevy / Buick / GMC / Cadillac dealers (confirmed). I am also fairly sure that we have more Porsche Cayennes than all pickup trucks combined (unconfirmed, but sure as heck seems like it).
Due to that, plus the dearth of CTS-Vs to begin with, and with me being also Asian and coming from 5x BMWs in the span of 15 years, meant that honestly I did not know where to go to get my work done.
I eventually settled on going to the shop run by the family friend of my ex-coworker who drives modded Audis. They were slightly apprehensive at first... and I could tell that they much rather that I brought them a BMW or Audi or Mercedes or FR-S or Civic Type-R... but good workmanship is good workmanship, and they delivered.
While milling around their shop, though, I had my camera with me and so took the opportunity to snap a few pictures of their “shop cars”: owners’ cars for work, for showcase, or just for fun. They are:
- Land Rover Range Rover (L405) | Work car / parts transport
- Mercedes-Benz E-class Estate (W213) | Work car / parts transport
- Honda / Acura NSX (NA1)
- Honda / Acura NSX (NA2)
- Toyota 700 (UP10D)
- Honda S2000 (AP2)
