Here are the pictures I took on my walk to the circa-1914 Lord Kitchener Elementary School, one of the first to be rebuilt in 2012, to see if anything was left from the original building.
On the way back, though, I passed by Puget Drive atop Arbutus Ridge, which boasts excellent views for Vancouver proper, and so actually has proper modern architecture. This became the highlight of my walk.
Unlike many, MANY properties in Vancouver, I actually feel that these are worth the assessed values. Plus, a $7.2mil-assessed home built in 2012 ($5.2mil land and $2mil residence, so an actual proper build, not just riding the land value) had a couple of Saabs parked prominently in the car port, one of them with Collector Plate. Definitely Oppo-approved, I’d say!
