The FP post about the Mahindra Roxor reminded me that there is one for sale at a heavy equipment dealer near my house. In doing very little research to see if is anyway to get one road legal, I found this site. Obviously I’d need things like mirrors and turn signals, but that’s nothing compared to dealing with the DMV getting something like this road legal, right?
I emailed them. They said they would get me a plate from South Dakota, registered to my home address in PA. Then I pay tax in SD and renew the tag each year. I asked about insurance and they said I should be able to insure it to my home address with an SD plate. Isn’t that dirt illegal? Even if the title in SD is legit, isn’t it illegal for me to be keeping it/driving it in PA?
