Jury Duty Status: Outta Here

Got up, got dressed, drove 40 minutes, paid to park, went through security, sat in a room with minimal AC and waited with about a hundred other citizens doing their civic duty. About 9:10 the bailiff came out to say that the case was not going to trial and we were free to go. However, we still had to check in with her to prove we were there, and the list of names she had was not in alpha order. Had they let us check in when we arrived, it would have avoided the line to leave. Anyway, minor inconvenience, and I’m off the hook for a few more years. Hopefully.
