Ryan Anthony is the Principal Trumpet Emeritus of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He had to step down from his position after a diagnosis of potentially terminal cancer. In response to his health situation, Ryan formed the Cancer Blows foundation, which uses the immense talent of the music community to raise awareness and money for cancer patients and cancer research. In this video, trumpet players from around the world recorded their parts to a big band performance, and it was all stitched together to make this video. There are some major heavy hitters here, including Wayne Bergeron (at the right in the screen capture), who played those amazing trumpet licks on the soundtrack for The Incredibles. There is some truly extraordinary playing here.
