Every year, my wife does the taxes, and every year, she asks me the mileage at the beginning and end of last year. And every year, I drop the ball and forget to make a note of the mileage. In 2019, I started private teaching, which meant a lot more miles to deduct. I had the mileage record from Jan 1, 2020, but nothing from Jan 1, 2019. So my brilliant wife asked me, “Did you post anything to Oppo about your mileage? When did the van turn to 200k?” And, lo and behold, I did make such a post, on our trip back east to see my parents. I posted about reaching 200,000 miles on.......January 4, 2019. Close enough!
