It’s Hump Day, and no, this is not a Lockheed Vega. It’s a Consolidated Y1C-22, which was known in civilian dress as the Model 17 Fleetster.

Which brings us to our Interesting Fact of the Day™:

In 1932, the US Navy evaluated a carrier-borne dive bomber version of the Fleetster and assigned it the designation XBY-1. Though the Navy passed on what would have been a rather odd sight—dive bombing with a high-wing aircraft— the XBY-1 was the first stressed-skin aircraft flown by the Navy, and the first Navy aircraft with “wet wing” fuel tanks in the wings.
