Time for a cold one. Or three. Got any big socially distanced plans for this Fourth of July weekend?
I’ve actually got a gig tomorrow, the first since the middle of March. Our brass quintet will be playing patriotic music tomorrow morning at a swanky retirement home. I made sure that we are playing in an outdoor courtyard, not inside the building, so I reckon it’s as safe as it can be. The big question will be whether I have the chops to play for 90 minutes after having not played in anger for 3.5 months. Other than that, we’re hanging out and grilling burgers and drinking beer and wine. Pretty typical, all things being equal.
