But as thorough as my Service Manual (SM) and Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual (EVTM) are, I was still missing a third volume: this “Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis” (PC/ED) book. Well, I finally found one, and it is an absolute unit. I’m in awe.

Not sure how many pages it is (the chapters aren’t numbered together), but the whole thing stands about 5-1/2" thick when closed. It’s the equivalent of about 6 Chiltons!

I was hoping that there was a digital version available. The SM and EVTM on my tablet have come in very handy, and I’m really digging the searchable text on those documents.

Going through this PC/ED book, however, is going to take some time. I sure hope all the pages are there. It looks pretty intact, though. No grease stains, and hardly any dog-ears to speak of. I can’t wait to see where this thing leads me!
