Reddit’s Just Rolled into the Shop is a veritable cornucopia of the many wonders and oddities of shop lyfe. You never know what’s gonna roll in. Here’s what caught my eye this week.
07 cobalt here... These lines come bare steel . Even the replacement Delco lines are bare as well. Cobalts and Impalas were the worst for this... Unfortunately we have to use GM parts here at dealership whenever possible. If it were mine it would be a copper nickle repair
My boss spoke to the insurance company, and the story is that buddy got drunk and figured building a fire in the box of his truck was a good idea.
As he was pulling it in the bay they had multiple floormats and one shifted and floored the gas pedal. Tech got lucky, he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and only had a sprained wrist and torn hand tissue. Keep in mind this is a supercharged Range Rover so it had some speed before hitting the wall.
Apparently the instructions weren’t “crystal clear”.
Floor mats aren’t the only things that need to be kept away from the pedals...

It’s on a lifted Tuscany f-150 and that bolt is part of the lift kit, I’m not exactly sure if Tuscany did something wrong or if he hit something. The wheel wasn’t damaged though
690 Enduro with about 15k km on it barely made it in for a slipping clutch diagnosis. Smh
